Hello
|
I am a Seattle native who received scholarship funding from
the Rain City Badgers when I transferred to Madison from the
University of Washington in 2006. I'm now living in Seoul,
South Korea, and putting my journalism degree to work as an
editor at a news wire here. I wanted to again pass along my
thanks to the Alumni Association's Seattle chapter for their
support; I wouldn't have been able to chase my ambitions
across the country without your help. I'm not sure when I'll
be back in Seattle, but I hope to join you all in some alum
events when I do return home. On Wisconsin!
Best,
Ben Hancock '07

Thanks!

Dear WAA - Seattle Chapter!
I wish to express my greatest thanks and appreciation for the
generous amount of scholarship funds that you have awarded to me. It
is truly a big financial help, and I can assure you it is one that
will not be squandered. This Fall I will be starting my first
semester as a Journalism major, and will be challenged with new and
rigorous course material. I am excited to gain more writing
experience and to have the help of a knowledgeable University staff
to fine-tune my skills.
Again, I thank the WAA - Seattle Chapter for their support of my endeavours here in Madison.
On Wisconsin!
Sincerely,
Ben Hancock
